Washington State

It’s March of 2025 and cold. Of course it’s raining, we are in the Pacific Northwest (PNW).

I had suffered a stroke the day after Veteran’s Day, November of 2024.

We had purchased a 5th wheel and truck, February 2015 and sold our houses. We really thought we would spend the rest of our lives in it. However, after the stroke, I could not stay in the RV. The steps were too much for me, since I had to learn how to walk again. I guess from all the stories, I am lucky the damage wasn’t worst. It has still been a nightmare I would want anyone else to experience

We moved from California to Washington at the first of the year. Arriving here we started looking for a house to purchase. We saw a lot and had a hard time finding one. Our broker called us on a Saturday and stated a house had just come up for sale. We looked at the photos on the internet and decided to view it. An appointment was set for the following day (Sunday). We walked the property and liked what we saw, making an offer. The buyer accepted and we moved in the following Friday. It was the fastest closing for this area ever.

After moving in, you start to realize that several things need to be done to make the house ours – LOL.

The house was built in 1969, has had work done to it make bigger and include access for handicap people. I don’t think we need all that excess. With that being said, we are replacing the floor with tile and carpet. We have two rooms with hard wood floors that we will keep.

Our primary bathroom had the biggest soaker tub we have ever seen. Well, it’s gone and will be replaced with a standalone tub, with tile.

The garage had another bathroom, which has been removed. It was freezing out there. The garage has soon much junk that needs to go to the dump. We do have another bathroom in the laundry room with a huge shower, again for a handicap individual. We will utilize for now.

We have a hodge podge of sheds in the back yard and an excess of bushes for this area, all will need to be removed. There are a few evergreen trees that need TLC, along with a split leave maple in front.

I guess that’s enough highlight on the house for now.
